I started Uncluttah as a way to help reduce the stuff in our condo, but it's turned into much more than that. Instead of just getting rid of stuff, we're finding ways to simplify our lives in ways that we never thought that we'd be happy with.
As it would turn out, we're even happier than before, because life is much simpler and we get to spend more time living and less time on the mundane.
Of course there is one downside to all of this. Our condo is looking emptier every day. Yes, it has been a while since we've listed new items on Uncluttah, but that doesn't mean that we haven't been letting go of our stuff. We just haven't been selling it.
I recently completed a reorganization of my desk. Before the reorganization, it was cluttered and uninspiring. After, it is simple with hardly anything on it. Instead of cords that go everywhere, there are hardly any cords.
Of course this meant getting rid of some stuff. The stuff that we got rid of could easily be categorized as vampire technology, you know, the kind of technology that sucks power from the electric company day and night.
I'll be posting more stuff for sale on the site soon. The process of simplifying our lives is an ever-changing process. Once we think we have worked something out, we'll rethink our strategy and realize that we can simplify even more. So stay tuned.
